Catching Fire Book Letter
Hi, so you know how I wrote a “Book Letter” on the Hunger Games, well here is the second book in the series, Catching Fire! I love this book so much. Here you go!
I have read a book called Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. She is also the author of The Hunger Games and that was also my previous book letter. This is the second book in the Hunger Games trilogy.
In this second book, some new characters are introduced, one of which is the evil President Snow.
In this book, Katniss and Peeta have won the Hunger Games! It is a big victory for them, but it has also put them in big danger. Since they tricked the Capitol into letting both of them win, President Snow is very mad. Since it is the 75th Hunger Games, President Snow announces the reading of the card (In the first Hunger Games, someone announced that every twenty-five years the Capitol would add something extra to the games). This year, the Capitol decided to put all the Victors (the winners of the previous Hunger Games) into the arena together to battle. So, Katniss and Peeta have to go to the Hunger Games arena again and now they will not allow two winners. In the last book, Katniss and Peeta both won! I was very surprised when I read that they were going into the arena because I did not see it coming. So Katniss has a mission. To save Peeta. She does not care if she dies, all she wants is to protect Peeta.
My favorite part of the book was when Katniss destroyed the force field around the arena and a rebel helicopter picked her up. In the heat of the moment, Peeta got taken away by the Capitol. I felt really bad for Katniss because she wanted to protect Peeta.
This book reminds me of Star Wars Book Five because the Rebels are fighting against the Empire to have freedom just like in Catching Fire! This book reminds me of my own life because if my mom or dad or brother was in trouble, I would try and help them.
See you later,
P.S. Who hates President Snow? I do!
