Mockingjay Book Letter
I decided that if I posted the Hunger Games & Catching Fire book letters, I would do the last book in the series, Mockingjay. Here you go!
I have read a book called Mockingjay, by Suzanne Collins. I have written a book letter on The Hunger Games and the second book, Catching Fire. This is the third and final book in the trilogy. So, Katniss, and the rest of Katniss’ family are in the underground world of District Thirteen to hide since the Capitol is very angry at Katniss. She escaped the Hunger Games and because of that the Capitol is now at war with District Thirteen. District Thirteen wants Katniss to become the “Mockingjay”. The “Mockingjay” is one of the leaders of the rebellion. At first, she does not want to do it, but eventually she is convinced. With that commitment, she demands the right to kill President Snow, the leader of Panem. At the end of the book she captures him and kills him slowly and he dies a miserable death.
In Catching Fire, Peeta got captured by the Capitol. In Mockingjay, he is used as bait to make the rebellion give up. At last, the Capitol gives Peeta back to District Thirteen, but Peeta does not remember Katniss and when he was held captive he was trained to kill her. The most intriguing part of the book was when Prim, Katniss’s sister dies and Katniss gets very sad, but also motivated to win. This book reminds me of my life, because when sad things happen you learn to get back up and go on. Mockingjay is just like the Last Apprentice, book six, because Tom’s mother died fighting an evil force that was trying to take over the world.
Hope you like it,
